Dr. Praxidia Taruwinga

Certified Life Coach Founder & Executive Director Director of Adolescent Wellness

Dr. Taruwinga founded Queen Centers for Hope out of a deep belief that every young person deserves to be seen, heard, and supported. Her approach is grounded in three words:

Listen. Educate. Empower.

Holding a Doctorate in Public Health and a Master's in Clinical Psychology, Dr. Taruwinga brings a holistic, community-centered perspective to adolescent wellness. She understands that young people don't just need services, they need someone who believes in them.

Her public health lens shapes every program QCH offers: prevention over reaction, community over isolation, and strengths over deficits. She envisions QCH as a space where teens and young adults discover who they are, build the skills they need, and step boldly into their futures.

A Message to Young People

"You are not a problem to be fixed. You are a person with potential waiting to be unlocked. QCH exists to walk that journey with you, at whatever pace you need, in whatever way feels right. You belong here."

~ Dr. Praxidia Taruwinga

Our Core Values: HOPE

Four principles that guide everything we do at QCH.

H ~ Hope

We believe in the inherent potential of every young person to heal, grow, and thrive.

O ~ Opportunity

We create access to tools, knowledge, and experiences that open doors for young people who may not have had them.

P ~ Prevention

We act early. Through education and resilience-building, we reduce risk before crisis occurs.

E ~ Empowerment

We develop confident, self-aware young adults who know their worth and have the skills to pursue their goals.

Our Vision

A community where every adolescent and young adult has access to the coaching, education, and support they need to build a healthy, purposeful life, regardless of background, circumstance, or zip code.
